Wow...

...So I haven't written since Halloween... Oh god. I'm so sorry... Well, to be completely fair, not a lot has happened. I managed to get an A for my first degree project which I was pretty excited about. I went through a phase towards christmas of buying so much stuff off of eBay it was a bit scary. I'm still a bit in that phase but not as much (god it was so bad). I'm also thinking about sorting out my whole wardrobe so it is replaced with cute things! Trouble is, I've already started buying cute things and not actually thrown anything away... Might do a new make-up tutorial soon because I've found a better way of making my eyes look big! Hoorray! I've also made a bunch of things with Onee-chan's sewing machine. Also! Exciting news... Onee-chan was in the Neo Magazine calendar which came with issue 106!! I'm so proud of her! She was entered into the cosplay competition without her knowning! >.<. I'll be posting new stuff up here soon whenever I have some spare time (uni is very demanding apparently).

Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone! I'm not doing a lot for Halloween. In fact... I'm not doing anything. Tomorrow night is when there's a party at the SU so that's when I'll properly dress up and I'll take pictures and post them on here because apparently I prefer writing this blog than that blog I actually have to write for my Graphic Communication course. Oops! Anyway, here's a preview of what I'll hopefully look like tomorrow...

I followed this tutorial if any of you were wondering. It was quite tricky. First time completely failed and peeled off my face. I find it works better if you cut the toilet paper with scissors so you get a straight edge and it goes onto your face smoothly with PVA, and with the hairdryer, use cold air otherwise it will crinkle. I also got my new Geo Bambi Sesame Grey contacts so I'm going to wear them as well. Kawaii zombie! Happy Halloween!

House Sitting...

Well I was rally really bored today... Like... Really bored. I'm on my summer holiday at the moment and have been for nearly 2 months now. So I really started getting into being a geek and a nerd and watching all of the tele and as a break I play with make-up and nail varnish... Right now me and my boyfriend are house sitting for his Dad because he's on holiday, and seeing as my boyfriend is at work, I am alone with sky tv (I love sky! So many documentaries!) and my make-up bag. So here are my pictures of the day with gyaru make-up. I've recently bought some fake eyelashes from eBay to complete my look but because they're from Hong Kong they'll take like a month to come through -_-... Oh well, I look forward to when I can use them and how big they'll make my eyes look! >.<

My make-up is a bit different from my Gyaru Make-up Tutorial I did before. On my eyelid, I've done the same eyeshadow, but different eyeliner. Instead of making them flick up, I've carried on the line to the outside of my eye to make my eye appear bigger. I've also put white eyeliner on my bottom waterline, but also just underneath my lower lashes and outlined this white area with eyeliner to again, make my eyes appear bigger.
I hope you guys have enjoyed my boredom...

My Own Gyaru Make-up Tutorial

Today I'm going to show you how to do Gyaru make-up (a kind of japanese style make-up that makes your eyes look uber huge!). Above is the make-up I used which I will list at the end of this entry.

1. First I put in my Geo Angel Blue circle lenses is, this is a pretty essential element for Gyaru make-up/ Gyaru lifestyle anyway, but if you don't have any, don't worry! The make-up makes eyes look huge anyway (but you should buy some anyway because they are epic). Then put on any face make-up that you usually use. For me, that's foundation then concealer then powder. I use a buffer brush to apply my foundation, fingers for concealer and a large powder brush for powder. If you really want a lot of powder on your face, get a make-up pad and cover your face by pressing the pad with the powder onto your face, then with the brush take off any excess powder and you get a soft looking face! After this I drew my eyebrows in with a dark brown eyebrow pencil.

2. Add dark brown eyeliner around you're eye, making go thick to thin from outside to the inside of your eye. Then add the eyeshadow starting with the lightest colour first spreading it across your whole eyelid. Then put the second lightest shade on half your eyelid, a quarter of the second darkest shade and the corner of your eye in the darkest shade. Then underneath your eye, only use the second darkest and darkest shades, run the  second darkest shade underneath your eyelashes then the darkest shade. Use the picture as a guide.

3. Then add your eyeliner. This is pretty difficult to explain, so I have made a diagram. You basically outline the whole of your eye really finely, then make line thicker towards the outside of your eye. Do this on the underneath of your eye as well. Then on the inside of your eye, draw a small flick.

 4. Touch up on any eyeshadow that has been lost in the process and touch up any eyeliner with a cotton bud O(≧∇≦)O. Once you are satisfied with those, time to add mascara! You can curl your lashes first with an eyelash curler, this will make your eyelashes look bigger and therefore make your eyes look bigger! Then, to make them look even bigger, take a white eyeliner and contour your waterline, this creates the illusion that the white of your eye is larger.

Hooray! Now, I've only done one eye to show you the immense difference it makes to your natural eyes. Then I did the other eye, added some blusher and lip tint as well as dotted some glittery eyeliner on the outside of my eye, and at the end on the inner eyeliner flick.
