Japanese Maid Cafe Love Love Onee-chan Day!

Today was the day I took my beautiful Onee-chan on her birthday present extravaganza! We arrived in London at around 11am and as our booking for the Maid Cafe wasn't until 1pm we decided to go to the V&A because we'd heard about a Lolita exhibit there. I got a bit lost, but the show was in the Japan area of the V&A (of course it was, how silly of me!) and although they only displayed a small amount of outfits, it was enough for us!

As Onee-chan studies archeology we went to the Medieval & Renaissance area as well where we saw lots of really cool stuff!

Japanese Maid Café London

We were both very excited (and I was very nervous) and going to this Maid Cafe because the place where it was held was some run down greek restaurant and it looked a bit dodgy... But sure enough, after some exploration, the maids were downstairs setting up the place and all speaking japanese and we started to have a massive spazz of excitement where I couldn't control my body movements. They were all so cute in their little maid outfits! My favourite waitresses were Rico and Mai, because they were the cutest. Rico played the keyboard and she took requests from the customers whilst Mai was the leader and lead the para para dancing and dressed in a cute fairy dress! They were all so cute! Here are some secret pictures when we were there (because we weren't allowed to take pictures T_T )...

(We got our hands stamped)

(We sat at the 'Death Note' table!)

(Me being weird and a vampire with snacks >.<)

(What the maid did to Onee-chan's food with ketchup! Kawaiiii!)

(The cute maids and their outfits! Secret pictures...)

All in all it was an extremely lovely day with Onee-chan! I hope she had a lovely time as she was very happy on the train back home, but we were both very sad we couldn't spend any more time with the lovely maid waitresses.

Onee-chan Love Love Time!

So from this Sunday to Thursday, I'm going to be in Bournemouth with my Onee-chan so we can spend lots of sisterly-love-love-kawaii time together. I'M SO EXCITED! It was also Onee-chan's birthday recently and I have bought her some keyboard stickers (so she can match mine >.<).

I also bought her a ticket to go to the Japanese Maid Café in London!! I'm so excited about it right now! I can't wait! I'm also planning that whilst we're there we can visit the V&A and see the exhibition "Kitty and the Bulldog: Lolita Fashion and the Influence of Britain". So excited! Now we can have a fun japanese-kawaii-love-love filled day!

New Shoes!

So... Fairly recently I bought some shoes off eBay, I shouldn't have bought them because... Being a student, I am very poor but I couldn't just miss out on these amazing deals! >.< I bought a pair of white rockinghorse shoes (which I've wanted a pair of for ages!) for only £9.55 including postage and packaging! Which I thought was pretty amazing.

Then I bought these cute little lolita shoes, but they were more expensive at a buy it now price of £20 and £4.50 postage and packaging. I didn't want to miss a good deal like this, so I rapidly snatched them up and they are now hopefully going to be part of some kind of future lolita cosplay O(≧∇≦)O!

Ibitsu

(picture from the series)

Because I love really creepy gory manga, I thought I'd show this one. It's not very long, only 2 volumes, about a girl trying to be a little sister to every boy. Known as "The Strange Lolita" she sits amongst rubbish waiting to ask a boy if he has a little sister. If you reply, you are haunted and tortured by this strange person whom you never really know where or how she came about. All you know is that she's really creepy and I'm glad I'm a girl who has no siblings, and I would never stop to talk to them either! I thought this manga was really good and it's good the story was short, I don't think it would have been good if it kept on going, victim after victim. What I really liked about it was that it delved into her past which I find really interesting to read. Although it turns out to be useless, I thought it was a really good part of the story. If you like horror, definitely read!

London MCM Expo Oct 2011

This year me and Onee-chan didn't want to cosplay characters. It was kind of a last minute decision because we weren't planning on going, but in september we decided that we should because we love expo so much! O(≧∇≦)O
The theme we were going to do was Wa Lolita. I'd describe it as lolita meets geisha and I soon got really excited. My colour scheme was black and white and Onee-chan's was red and black. I got even more excited when I was told we were asked to do a photoshoot once we were there by GDWass Photography! This was one of the contacts we had made when we did the Bleach meet. And this is one of her photos of me at Expo.

I could have added more to my outfit I guess. I think I should have gotten a better wig, or some proper lace to put in my hair. The lace I had wasn't really lace, more like really thin material and broke almost everytime I tried to tie a bow! I would probably also add more black around the costume or in the umbrella just to make the outfit come all together and match properly. I had a lovely time and can't wait for next expo!
